Steve DeSena

Associate General Counsel

Steven DeSena is an in-house real estate and commercial attorney with deep experience supporting large, multi-jurisdictional real estate portfolios for luxury retail brands across the Americas. He brings a business-first approach to the full life cycle of real estate and operational matters, from leasing and construction through facilities and critical vendor agreements that keep large-scale operations running smoothly.

Before joining Fixer, Steven served as Senior Real Estate and Commercial Counsel for more than 100 Prada Group locations across North and South America, supporting the Prada, Miu Miu, and Versace brands. Previously, he spent several years at Burberry, supporting its 60-plus-location Americas portfolio and leading significant real estate transactions and brand activation matters.

Across both organizations, Steven led legal negotiations for new stores, expansions, and relocations, while advising on ongoing portfolio management across retail, office, warehouse, and storage assets. His experience includes prominent flagship and headquarters leases and buildouts, architect and construction agreements, complex landlord-tenant matters, and high-profile events, productions, artistic collaborations, and brand takeovers.

Steven also advises cross-functional teams on mission-critical commercial agreements across procurement, marketing, finance, technology, and other business functions.

Earlier in his career, Steven built Pagaya’s office expansion leasing function across several U.S. markets. At Empire State Realty Trust, owner of the Empire State Building, he supported the landlord-side legal function for a 9.2 million-square-foot Class A office and retail portfolio.

Steven received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Towson University with a B.S. in Sociology. He is admitted to practice in New York State. Outside of work, Steven is an avid health and fitness enthusiast, enjoys exploring new restaurants, and is an accomplished amateur winemaker who also dabbles in making his own limoncello.
