Samantha Reilly

Samantha Reilly is an experienced legal and business advisor to high-growth consumer brands across beauty, retail, wellness, and e-commerce. She partners with founders and leadership teams on the challenges that come with scaling modern consumer businesses, bringing a practical, business focused approach to commercial, marketing, employment, and litigation matters.
Prior to her advisory work, Samantha spent more than six years at Glossier, most recently serving as Deputy General Counsel. She advised the marketing, creative, real estate, retail and sales teams on day-to-day business decisions and strategic initiatives in a fast-moving environment. Samantha supported retail expansion across brick-and-mortar stores, pop-ups and experiential activations, such as Alfred Coffee at Glossier Alley, while leading legal support for wholesale expansion with Sephora, Space NK, and Mecca. Samantha advised on high-profile campaigns and partnerships, including Glossier’s first-ever sports partnership with the WNBA.
Earlier in her career, Samantha held legal roles at American Express and Barneys New York. At Barneys, she advised on a broad range of commercial, retail, employment and litigation matters across more than 30 retail and warehouse locations, plus Freds at Barneys restaurants. Her work included supporting collaborations for Barneys’ flagship holiday windows and related product licensing, negotiating consignment arrangements with fine jewelry designers, and overseeing legal matters for in-store pop-ups and private label goods.
Samantha earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was elected to Order of the Coif and named a Florence Allen Scolar. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and two sons. Samantha is admitted to practice law in New York.
