Kathy Hernandez

Kathy brings over 20 years of dynamic HR leadership, strategic vision, and hands-on experience across a range of industries, including apparel retail and sports. As a results-driven HR executive, she's demonstrated an ability to build and transform HR functions, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Her experience includes organizational design, team and people management, HR operations and technologies, employee relations, performance management, HR compliance and policy development, compensation and benefits,  budget  control,  change  management,  data-driven decision-making and immigration sponsorship.

In her various capacities as an HR leader and solo practitioner, including as Head of People for ELOQUII and Free Assembly (both before and after Walmart’s acquisition of ELOQUII), Chief People Officer, US, for SIGNA Sports United, and fractional HR leader for Rowan, Kathy has established and managed entire HR structures and operated as a key C-suite thought partner and member of senior leadership teams, developing and implementing people strategy in alignment with business goals, while managing the full employee  lifecycle  and  ensuring  sound  HR  operations and practices.  Kathy has worked in a diverse set of industries and environments, including brick-and-mortar retail, ecommerce retail, sports, venture-backed and rapidly scaling businesses, sales  & service, information technology, logistics, and government contracting.

Bringing a unique blend of practical HR acumen and academic knowledge to her HR practice, Kathy holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership, a B.S. in Business and Management, and Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Change Management Professional (CCMP) and Everything DiSC®! certifications.
